KUDU AMATEUR GOLF CHALLENGE TO REUNITE GOLFING ENTHUSIAST

The Waterberg District will this weekend play host to the 9th edition of the Kudu Amateur Championship 2020 at the lush Koro Creek Bushveld Golf Estate. The tournament will take the format of a Better Ball Stableford which will be played over two days from 13 to 14 November 2020.

“Our partnership with Kudu Amateur Championship is meant to bring back confidence to the tourism industry and to spread the message that we are open to engage in sports tourism as a way of supporting the recovery of the industry. Sports tourism has been one of our successful areas for partnerships hence the continued support for the tournament and other sports events” said Mr. Sello Maleka, Acting CEO of Limpopo Tourism Agency.

Koro Creek Golf Course is a 6825 metre par 72 championship course featuring four tee boxes on every hole to accommodate every level of golfer. The 860-hectare nature reserve alongside the estate is going to be incorporated into the estate allowing wildlife to roam free and it is situated close to the beautiful Nylsvley Nature Reserve. Visitors can enjoy close encounters with wildlife on the 18-hole golf course or the game reserve – there is something for everyone.

According to David Riddle, the tournament organizer and General Manager of the estate: “The event brings people from diverse locations and backgrounds together. This year the focus is on making the event memorable for each player and making everyone feel like a winner, we will also have live scoring for the first time.”

As a destination, we will use the tournament and regional offerings to position the region as the ultimate golfing and lifestyle destination of choice this summer, concluded Maleka.
