The purpose for LTA to be part of the show will benefit the province in many ways than one. The CEO of LTA, Mr. Moses Ngobeni indicated how important it is for Limpopo Province to participate in this expo as that will also be an opportunity to enhance its commitment to the Zambezi Destination. He said, “The objectives for participating in this important platform are, to position Limpopo Province as the leading destination in Southern Africa; to create awareness and drive demand for international tourism travel into the province; to introduce new products within the Limpopo Province; to inspire and drive demand for international tourism travel into Limpopo Province; and to strengthen the province’s presence and integration in Zimbabwe and SADC Regional Markets”. Limpopo is the only province in the country that shares borders with three countries, namely, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Over and above this, the province has a major competitive advantage of having two Transfrontier Parks (TFPs), which is a niche product that no other province in the country possesses. This advantage comprises two Transfrontier Parks, namely, the Great Mapungubwe Transfrontier Park, bordering South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana and the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, bordering South Africa, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe.
