This route follows the R561 from Baltimore (N11) to Marken and via the R518 to Shongoane and Lephalale town. The road between Ga-Shongoane and Ga-Seleka also forms part of the route. The rural villages offer a unique cultural experience where tourists can enjoy traditional dancing, food, crafts as well as vibrant village life. Apart from rural village life, the Rhino and Waterberg Museum in Melkrivier, the Big Five and Mama Tau white lion breeding project are some the worthwhile visits along the heritage route.
